Meet Valerie Sanchez Liebhaber D.D.S
A compassionate Issaquah dentist delivering beautiful, healthy smiles to the community.
Dr. Valerie Liebhaber, is a dedicated and compassionate dentist who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Issaquah Plateau Dentistry. Originally from Costa Rica, she moved to California at three years old. After a road trip with her sister, she loved the Pacific Northwest, and after graduating, she applied only to positions in Seattle and never left!
Her passion for dentistry stems from her upbringing, where she was fortunate to have had wonderful dentists who made her feel comfortable and acknowledged her concerns. She changed her initial plans from studying chemistry to dentistry when she understood she could provide people with continuous care and develop relationships with patients. Dr. Liebhaber strives to create positive experiences for members of her own community in the Pacific Northwest.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Liebhaber’s passion for dentistry shines in her ability to connect with patients, educate them about their oral healthcare needs, and provide a relaxing environment.
Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest through camping, hiking, and road trips. Her love for cooking and trying new recipes reflects her adventurous spirit, while her passion for learning about different cultures enriches her interactions with patients. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Liebhaber strives to make everyone feel welcome and valued in her practice.
Meet Dr. Leena F. Zurayk, D.D.S, MD
A passionate dentist delivering exceptional care.
Dr. Zurayk is a native of Southern California who completed her undergraduate studies at Pomona College before receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry.
She moved to Seattle, WA, in 2017 to pursue her dream of becoming an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Zurayk completed a one-year surgical internship followed by a six-year residency training at the University of Washington, where she also earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a 2-year Certificate in General Surgery. While in medical school, she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and her now-husband, making her decision to settle here after graduation an easy one.
Her special interests include dentoalveolar surgery (dental implants, bone/soft tissue grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, dental extractions) and outpatient dental anesthesia/IV sedation. She strives to ensure that every patient feels respected, heard, and cared for.
Dr. Zurayk remains up-to-date on the most current clinical practice guidelines and research in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. She is a member of the Washington State Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). She is also an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program. She is committed to providing the highest standard of treatment, quality, and care.
In her free time, Dr. Zurayk enjoys movie nights, cooking, camping, and weekend morning jogs around Green Lake.
